About Megan
Megan Barker was born with songwriting in her blood. Her father wrote for legends like Ronnie Milsap, Barbara Mandrell, and Hank Williams Jr., while her mother was a session singer who toured with artists like Little Jimmy Dickens. By 16, Megan was performing professionally on the Las Vegas Strip, opening concerts and honing her craft on some of the city’s biggest stages.
After planting her roots back in Nashville in February 2017, Megan released her highly anticipated EP Leather Souls, featuring fan favorites “Tequila Told Me To,” “I Cuss When I Pray,” and “When My Boots Were New.” The project earned rave reviews and set the stage for a string of milestones: endorsements from McPherson Guitars, Shure Microphones, and Dan Post Boots; a sold-out debut at the Bluebird Café; and international performances across the UK, Scotland, and Ireland.
In February 2018 Megan launched Jammin in Jammies, a Nashville writers’ night that quickly became a fan-favorite showcase. Featuring both hitmakers and emerging talent, stars of today such as GAYLE, Priscilla Block, Tenille Arts, Sam Williams, Ryan Larkins and many more graced the Jammie stage. In 2020, the brand extended into a podcast where Megan interviewed the industry’s top players.
As a songwriter, Megan has co-written tracks for artists including SiriusXM favorite Kimberly Dawn, Canadian award-winning group The Heels, and TikTok sensation Jordan Rainer. Megan’s self-produced music videos have been featured on CMT, and her holiday releases have earned her the nickname “Queen of Christmas.”
In 2023 she crossed performing at Atlanta’s iconic Eddie’s Attic and Dosey Doe’s Big Barn in Texas off her bucket list.
In 2025, Megan played Tin Pan South alongside hitmakers, friends, and mentors Mike Reid, Dave Berg, and Joel Shewmake. She was also featured on the official lineup for the Key West Songwriters Festival. In August of 2025, she headlined a sold-out West Coast run, including the legendary Hotel Café in Los Angeles. She’ll continue building momentum as direct support on Doug Stone’s Farewell Tour this fall.
